The 2009 membership cards are now available. Current cards expire December 31st. Please renew your dues ASAP.
At the last executive council meeting the Council voted to use a new handicap chart, made by Byron Jarrett for the team tournament. Since this decision Ron Deckard presented a comparison of the charts to last year’s tournament, showing an advantage to the high percent pitchers. The Council has agreed to using the old chart until Byron can obtain more data.
Since we no
longer have an income from game related items, the Council has voted to
increase the state fee from $1.00 to $2.00 per tournament entry, effective June
2009. This should generate approximately $2500.00 offsetting the loss of the

COMMENTS BY THE 2ND VICE PRESIDENT
NOVEMBER 2008
All the major issues for the
FSHPA seem to have been well covered by President Hilpertshauser
and other members of the EC. I encourage
everyone to accept and support the necessary changes we have made in the Club
Team Tournament and our attempt to meet our obligations by raising the
tournament fee. I remain open for any
additional suggestions.

2009 Nomination/Election Committee
This year Joe West will again be chairman of the Nomination/Election Committee. The officers up for reelection this year are, President, First VP and Third VP. Anyone wishing to run for any of these positions must let Joe know by February 15, 2009.
