DON’T MISS THESE GOODIES

This year’s State Championships is the tournament’s 50th  anniversary.  To

celebrate, a prize of $50 will be awarded to some lucky member.  The winner will

be determined by drawing one name from all those who correctly guess the

champions in each of the 9 tournament events.

Details will appear in the March newsletter and will be posted on the State

Championships web site when it is activated in February.

The individual club web sites have been relocated to a new server.  You can access

them by going to the Florida State web site and clicking on the link for clubs,

through the map on the on the NHPA web site, or the link to “other clubs” on any

FSHPA club web site.

New features have been added to the Florida horseshoe information you can find

on the Internet.

First is that Dell Woollard is accepting and immediately posting such things as

changes in the tournament dates, new tournaments added, tournaments that have

been cancelled, and other information of interest to the Florida horseshoe

community.  Access is currently on the Bradenton web site and the Florida State

web site.  Later access from other club web sites will be available.

Second is the posting of videos of many Florida pitchers throwing a shoe or two.

See both good and poor techniques.  Access them from the Florida State web site.

Third is that photographs of the activity at some tournaments will be available for

viewing and downloading.  They will be located on a link just following the

RESULTS for that tournament on the host club’s web site and from the Florida

State web site.  At this time you can view photos from the 2009 State

Championships on the Beverly Hills web in the 2008-2009 archives and from the

Florida State web site.  The 10-17-09 Melbourne tournament photos are available

on the Brevard web under Tournaments.
