Horseshoe Club had (1) Non-Sanctioned Class in their September 17, 2011
tournament and will have one at all other tournaments as long as they receive
at least (3) contestants. See the

non-sanctioned class in a tournament. FSHPA EXECUTIVE COUNCIL ANNOUNCEMENT Updated September 2011 To promote interest in Horseshoe Pitching in 1. All New Members applying for 2012 Membership will receive $10.00 off the FSHPA annual dues and will only be required to pay the $17.00 NHPA dues to become a Member of NHPA/FSHPA for 2012. 2. We are also requesting that FSHPA Chartered Clubs run (1) NON-Sanctioned Class when they run their scheduled tournaments using the format below if there are contestants & courts available. 1. All Pitchers shall be Florida Residents based on FSHPA & NHPA BYLAWS. 2. Any person that was not a FSHPA Member in 2011 is eligible to Compete. 3. Charge the Non-FSHPA Horseshoe Pitchers a $5.00 Entry Fee and have them pay Scorekeeping fees where applicable. 4. Classes may consist of 3 to 8 pitchers. Classes with only 3 Pitchers should use the Double Round Robin format. 5. Games may be played using either the 40 or 50 shoes per game. 6. Pitching distance shall be either 30 or 40 ft. based on NHPA Bylaws. 7. All players shall pitch 100 shoes prior to the date of the Tournament witnessed by an NHPA member. The NHPA member shall then call the appropriate Tournament Director with the player’s Ringer Average at least 24 hrs. prior to the Tournament. 8. Classes Shall Be Handicapped where the difference between the Highest and Lowest Ringer Average is more than 10%. The Handicap Shall Be 80% of the difference. 9. A Minimum of 100 shoes shall be pitched so that people awarded Membership meet the 100 shoe requirement pertaining to entering average when they play in their first sanctioned tournament. (3 & 6 player classes would require the participating club to pay the $2.00 or $4.00 difference for membership). 10. Games shall be played using the HSMaster Head to Head format to break any ties if necessary. 11. Prizes awarded shall be a one year Membership in the NHPA/FSHPA based on $17.00 per. Membership. In the 4, 5, 7 & 8 person classes the club retains the few dollars extra to cover expenses. 12. Participating Clubs shall provide the winners with an application and help in filling it out if necessary. Once completed the participating club shall send the applications to Marcela Santoyo along with $17.00 per. Membership paid from Entry Fees collected to cover NHPA/FSHPA Membership fees.
