called to order by president Hilpertshauser at
Roll call taken by John Peplinski. Ten clubs represented.
Treasures report given by John Peplinski and accepted by the membership.
Proposed budget given by John Peplinski and finalized by the membership.
Jim Smith, promotional officer reported 199 member photos on file. Verdell Woollard is providing backup for posting tournament results and making some changes for the Club Internet Web Sites when Jim Smith is away. 23 new members have been signed due to the new member lottery and 5 from the “Yahooti letters” reminding members of dues. This has absorbed the mailing cost.
Proposed by-law changes submitted by Vicki Marteney.
Article 3 Sec. 1. Motion by Newsome second by Randall passed unanimously
Article X Sec 3 Motion by Randall second by Jarrett passed unanimously.
Changes made to conform to NHPA by-laws.
President Hilpershauser reported that the NHPA is requesting donations
from the charters in the amount of $500 for World Tournament equipment. In
return the charters name will be lettered on the back boards at the World
Tournament. Bob made a motion seconded by Swihart
requesting that all
Joe West made a motion seconded by Randall to have a Florida Hall of Fame patch made. Motion passed unanimously. Kovacs and Stonerock will be informed on the ordering.
Delegates to the World Tournament will be Ron Deckard, Jim Premer, Ken Duquet and Irve Swihart.
The Brevard County Horseshoe Club will host the 2010 state tournament.

Many Thanks to Ralph Condon!
Ralph Condon from the raffle he created through a donation of a 7-night cruise ship aboard a choice of over 20 modern luxury cruise ships has raised $968.00 for the Junior Scholarship Award with the US Family Foundation of Inverness. Other donations included a 2nd place prize 3 day 2 night getaway (free airfare) also White Distributers donated 4 pairs of horseshoes for 3rd through 6th place winners. Ralph put a lot of effort in this raffle and it is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your interest in the Junior Scholarship Program.

Hayden Cohen wins $1,000.00 Jr. Scholarship Award
Leland Reynolds wins John Reynolds Memorial Jr. Scholarship Award
Leland Reynolds became Florida State Boy Champion to win his brothers memorial award, the “John Reynolds Jr. Memorial Scholarship Award” for $100.00. Leland had a close game with Hayden Cohen, but managed to pull it off and win his game. He was undefeated. 2nd place winner was Hayden Cohen and 3rd place went to Kyle Bradley.
Congratulation to Leland for being Florida State Champion to win his brother, John’s Memorial Scholarship Award and to Hayden Cohen who won the $1,000.00 Scholarship Award with the US Family Foundation, Inc.
All the juniors did a great job and are the new generation of great horseshoe pitchers.
