Congratulations to
Verdell Woollard on repeating as Women’s State Champion, Tom
Hall on winning
the Elder’s State Champion, and Leland Reynolds repeating as Junior
Tournament
and congratulations to all the State Class Champions also. As usual, I had a
great time at the State Tournament and I hope you
did also.
Congratulations to
Tom Hall on winning the Triple Crown Winner award, Eunice
Lafavers on earning the Player Of
The Year award, Verdell Woollard and Warren
Woolsey on being inducted into the FSHPA Hall of
Fame, and to all of the other special
award winners.
I want to thank
John Pautler of the
horseshoe courts in excellent playing condition and the
members of the
Horseshoe Club for
all of their hard work to make the State Championship tournament a
success. The cocktail parties and the meal at the
Awards Banquet were excellent.

going to the World Tournament this year, Good Luck
and Good Pitching and I hope to

Randall, Jerry 75, of
served for four years. He built helicopters,
drove trucks, and then did mechanic work for
twenty years. He owned his own garage for 6 ˝
years in Washington and
all over
where he lived for 12 years before moving to
Jerry was a member of the Beverly Hills Horseshoe Club where he
served several years
as Tournament Director and club President. Jerry served on
the FSHPA Executive
Council as 1st Vice President, President, and Past
President and was a member of the
FSHPA Hall of Fame. Jerry will be missed deeply by his
horseshoe pitching friends.
