Comments from the Sec/Tres

The 2009 Closed State Tournament is now in the books. Congratulations to all who attended. Thanks to the Beverly Hills Club for all their hard work to making this tournament a success. Even with the poor economy we had 43 Mixed Doubles teams, 48 Doubles and 137 singles entries.  Next year will be the 50th anniversary for the Florida Association. Melbourne will be the host club.  Plans are being made to make this a special event. I hope this will be one of the largest State Tournaments to date.

The Executive Council will be busy finalizing the team tournament format and the 2010 state tournament by year’s end. If you have any comments or suggestions make plans to attend the meeting or contact a member of the council. I would like to thank all the tournament host clubs for making this a fun and successful tournament season.

Melbourne will be hosting three summer tournaments for those who are not traveling and can stand the heat. I would like to wish a safe and healthy summer to all. Roberta and I look forward to seeing you all this coming tournament season.

REMEMBER; WE PROMOTE BY ARE ACTIONS ON AND OFF THE COURTS. REMAIN PROFESSIONAL.
