The Executive Council meeting was held January 26, in
The courts will be in excellent
condition with the addition of Kentucky Blue Clay. Plans have been finalized
for all the activities including the Clubs President meeting Wednesday at 9:30
A.M. Melbourne has proven to be a fine host for the state tournament. Make your
plans to attend the 3-person team event making this a full week of competition
and fun.
All information needed to attend the tournament is
available in this newsletter. A few changes listed this year is
the entry fee for all events will be $30.00. Score keepers will be paid $2.00
rather then $1.00 as in the past. Again there will be no refunds after the
closing date. Request for Friday or Saturday pitching only; these requests, if
possible will be put in a separate class on the day of request regardless if
your class is scheduled that day. If there are not a sufficient number of
requests received to make a class the entry will be refunded.
This years offices up for election are President, First and
Third Vice Presidents. If you are interested in running for one of these
positions contact a member of the election committee (Chairman Jerry Randall)
or a council member. Plan now to attend this
As of this writing we have 331 adult and 4 junior members.
Last year at this time the total was 343 adult and 6 juniors. Hopefully we will
surpass last year’s total of 399 adult and 10 junior members.

Foundation Scholarship, the Bradenton Horseshoe Club made a contribution of
$235.00 to the fund, proceeds from the Jan. 20, 2007 Jr. Scholarship Tournament.
Beverly Hills Horseshoe Club contributed $250.00, proceeds from their Feb. 10th
2007 Jr. Tournament. Support from Hazel
