COMMENTS FROM THE PRESIDENT
( Continued from previous page )
Marvin Grubb Fourth VP is resigning his position effective March 1, 2007 and I have reluctantly accepted his resignation. During his 23 years of service to the association he was Sec/Treas for 16 years and has held the fourth VP position the past 7 years. Marvin always did what was best for the association and I commend him for this. He has developed several software programs, one that is used by the Sec/Treas that produces the financial report of the association at our annual meeting. Another program that I use is for the HDCP tournament that we have in Brevard 3 times a year making running this tournament a lot easier then in the past. The latest program that Marvin developed was a program that when an out of state pitcher (snow birds) pitches once in the state, that individuals average will be carried on the FSHPA Inc. current average report. This alleviates the need for tournament directors having to go to NATSTATS to get the individual averages from the state that they reside in, thus saving the TD a great amount of time. I am sure that if a need arises that a software program is needed in the future Marvin would be more than happy to help. Marvin will continue to handle the duties of Newsletter Editor and the Website Webmaster. These two appointed positions will be his until he tells me otherwise. I for one will miss Marvin’s insight that he brings to the council table and I wish him the best. As of this writing I am interviewing 6 candidates that were submitted to me for considerations. Once I make my selection I will submit the individuals name to the Executive Council for their approval. It is my intention to have this position filled by March 1st. After March 1st you can visit the FSHPA Inc. website to see who has been selected as your next Forth VP.
I have enjoyed the past two years as your President and I will be a candidate for this year’s election. I can assure you if reelected I will continue to do what is best for our Association. I encourage every member to vote and if you do not plan to attend the State Tournament request an absentee ballot from John Peplinski, Sec/ Treas.
I am looking forward to seeing you at the State Tournament. And I wish all participants the best of luck and good pitching.

Hello all horseshoe pitchersm I’m sorry that I haven’t been to any tournaments this year But my health has been pretty bad.
I love the game of horseshoes and it breaks my heart that I Can’t pitch. In fact I have to have Ruth drive me to the courts because I get dizzy.
I hope that I can make it to the state tournament this year and help out.
I hope to see you all there in
Good Luck, Good Health and Good Pitching.
