Executive Council Meeting

reported that the Day’s
they will be booked because of other events that week. They have recommended you to get your reservations in
well before the 5th of April.
Vicki Marteney has submitted the proposed by-law’s and reported they have been reviewed and
approved by the committee.

will contact the NHPA for ordering the new
Jim Smith the promotional officer was unable to make the meeting. He sent posters advertising the state
tournament for the clubs to post. Any club desiring one should contact Jim. Promotion for the State
Tournament was discussed. Bob and Jerry will confer with Jim on procuring local media coverage. Bob stated
the display banner should include (50th anniversary).
Jerry LaBrosse requested that all charters use e-mail for better communication. Verdell Woollard will
send all NHPA communications to club presidents, tournament directors and post on the web site.
Pick the State Tournament Champions contest winner will receive $50.00. Bob will finalize with Jim
about cut off time, ties and having forms at the courts.
State Tournament: An agenda for the Club Presidents meeting and banquet was established. Minor
changes on the information form were made. Bob will give these changes to the editor. It was agreed to have the
same prize fund as last year. This will be posted in the March newsletter. Jerry Michalek, President of the
BCHC, reported on the clubs progress to date. The banquet will be held at the Melbourne Moose Club. Tickets
will be $15.00. Jerry is working with Marvin Grubb on finalizing the purchase of plaques.
Host club and state responsibilities were discussed. Bob will have copies available for the host clubs
listing their responsibilities.
The council
discussed what the NHPA,s policy is for 50 year members. It was agreed
that any
resident achieving 50 year NHPA
membership will receive
made by Peplinski, seconded by Woollard. This motion passed unanimously.
Dell Woollard explained that the NHPA mascot “ Woody 2 Shoes” has a cut out available from the
NHPA. Ron stated that the Clearwater Club has purchased one and that it is available from the NHPA for a cost
of $25.00. It would be made of plywood and need painting.
The council will be working with Jerry on having State Tournament T-shirts available for ordering on
the web site. Also T-shirts will be available for purchase during the tournament.
