COMMENTS FROM THE THIRD VICE PRESIDENT

SEPTEMBER 2011

Hope everyone had a fun and happy Summer with family and friends. We were very lucky to be able to spend the summer with our family in Northern Illinois again this year. We enjoyed being parents and grandparents in person not just on the phone. This year we have a new addition to our family our first Great Grandson Tyler. We had lots of “Remember When’s” this summer with lots of pictures taken.

We also were able to play horseshoes on the Beloit Wisconsin Summer Horseshoe League every Thursday morning again this year. We were able to renew our friendships from last year. They made us feel so welcome and part of their horseshoe club. They were hoping Florida could get a team together for the Team World Tournament held in Beloit, Wisconsin every May, the week after Mothers Day. Think about forming a Team and let me know. I will post the application on the Florida World of Horseshoe News after the first of the year.

Soon our Florida World of Horseshoes will be in full swing. Hope to see you all at one of our many horseshoe tournaments in Florida. It is our chance to renew friendships and have fun playing horseshoes. Remember to check the Florida Web Site for information regarding horseshoe tournaments and other member information. One change to the Florida Schedule of Tournaments for 2011 – 2012 is that the Beverly Hills Tournament scheduled for September 10, 2011 has been cancelled.
